Congratulations to Antrim and Moneyglass referee Sean Laverty on being chosen to take charge of the Ulster JFC Final this Sunday in Armagh. There is a great band of young referees emerging in Antrim and long may it continue
Fully deserved and hopefully others will take inspiration from the appointment.

Maybe what those who are asking for votes will have learned that it is important to engage with clubs/ grassroots. If you lose contact with those you are representing then that is not healthy. People volunteer and seek / compete for office to represent on a voluntary basis. And whoever is elected this time will be elated and that is good. They want the jobs and others may also have wanted the job.
Important to remember who put you there because they can very quickly remove you. Transperancy and honesty.

Good luck to all those who potentially can be in Office. Each one - the victors and the vanquished will be thnking in what way can they contribute to improving Antrim. Probably for some time this healthy analysis and looking ahead was not like it is for this contest? No one has all the answers but engaging with all the talents of all types of personalities could be good for everyone.

Took a trip to Glenravel on Sunday to watch the Un21 1/4 Final. I have to commend the ref Thomas McGilligan on the way the reffed the game in testing conditions. kept talking to the players explaining the decisions when necessary. Really pleasing to see!

Best of Luck to PJ and his team. A big task ahead, but an important one. Hopefully you get the best players involved, and get the best out of them. If you manage that we will be in a much better place than we find ourselves in at present.

Are there photographs of our County Executive Officers on our website? In this day I thought that brand recognition was the name of the game? When we get a new Executive can we get a photo or two?
I am sure there will be no problem

There is a lot of interest in the team that will lead the County - whoever that is. There is interest in who will lead the County hurling management team. Interest and comment is great in si far as it goes. But there are too few people properly equipped at club level to coach enough young ones to the standards required. And the deficit at Divisional Board is the same. The potential is there but hard work and dedication needed not just interest.
