Would just like to say how great it is to see how pro-active our new PRO has been so far. It is great to see the updates and promotional work on social media, and of course the updates of the two games this weekend was top class. Well done and keep up the great work!!

Thank you Frances. #LetsMakeAntrimGreat

Can we get some info up on website about Dunsilly eg what is being done with this next phase of work? will there be championship matches played on it next year? What crowd capacity will it have? There seems to be a lot of interest in what is happening with the project but not much info

A recent press release was issued. Club delegates will be informed at the next county meeting and any developments will be published.

Has there been any final decision been made on a start date for the football leagues as it is only approx 6 weeks away until the start of Feb??? This leaves clubs very little time to plan, organise and book facilities for a proper pre season.

Recommendations will be put to the clubs at the first County committee meeting in Jan 16 and the clubs will decide.

Good luck to everyone associated with the new County Board. Let us keep in mind what the Association means in terms of the engagement, participation and development of our young ones. The challenge and potential to positively engage in an inclusive way within our communities is a great challenge for the GAA in Antrim.

Are they making new changes to the football div 1 league & trying to get the league finished before championship? I hope the new county broad does not forget about duel players dont really want to pick between the 2

The clubs made the decision to increase the size of the football leagues.

On behalf of Ruairi Og I would like to thank County Coaches Eoghan Gribben and Dominic McKinley for delivering the work shops on Developing our Juvenile Club Structures. Over two Tuesday nights the coaches began working on planning for the future, and identifying Coaching courses to help with both coach and player pathway, improving Community and Club/School links. The lads had a great knack of teasing out the problems and more importantly solutions that ourselves and I'm sure many other clubs face. We look forward to the courses beginning again in the new year, So thank you again boys, Niall Kearney Juvenile Chairman.

Development of volunteers

27th November 2015

Now that there is change in the air and there will be new vitality in CB after the elections - there has to be irrespective of the personnel. Leaving aside the current function that Divisional Boards have in local fixture administration have they had a purpose in developing people who wish or seek position at County level? If it is so are they effective in the development of personnel for these roles? If they don't do that then presumably it is through clubs/ work that people acquire the necessary know how to perform in roles at CB? Do our Divisional Boards serve us well in the aspect of volunteer development?

Without Volunteers Divisional Boatds could not operate. Volunteers come in all shapes: delegates, referees, administrators, coaches etc. Divisional Board is not there solely to provide the next step up to CB. It is only a few who travel that route. Divisional Boards are there to organise and administer GAA activity in their area.

I don't know...

26th November 2015

I Don't know - and I Don't know about Casement but would say another £10 million not buy up some houses and free up a bit of space around the proposed stadium? Houses have a life span, people have a life span - you don't and cannot live for ever? Chances are people will soon forget about the great battles they had to save this or that or to get one over on this one or that one? Everyone stand back and think what can we do to be more accommodating? . But I don't know.
