I have to agree with South Derry Gael we are missing a trick with cargin v st galls game even if Sunday is all Ireland hurling day Saturday evening would have been better and as I said in a previous post I think it should have been a double header with creggan and St. Paul's on first this would have created huge interest in these 2 games and larger crowds mean more money ,this will be the biggest crowd of the football championship and the county should make the best of it!

Any chance you could sort out the div 3 table ? I havnt a clue who has got 2nd spot as the points, games played etc. are split over multiple tables.
Add points in Div 3A to those achieved in Div 3 Grading.

Is it an asset or liability - help or hindrance to the cohesive functioning of our Antrim County Board to have our divisional boards?
That is for the clubs to decide.

When you read and heard people talking about the wrongs of Antrim hurling at present you would think that they were yearning for return of some past glorious era of success. Not sure when that era was or was it something or sometime that I have overlooked?

in this day and age is there any need for divisional boards? surely the county would be better served by just the 1 board to organise underage fixtures? economies of scale and all the rest.
Divisional Boards have served this county well and any change in the future is as always in the hands of the Clubs

As an avid follower of the antrim championship i find it strange the big two are playing on a friday night? Surely the Cargin/Galls game should have been put on the sunday afternoon at say 3pm as opposed to friday night at 8pm in terms for attracting a crowd and for both teams as im sure both sets of players will have to go do a days work that day? Just a thought.
All Ireland Hurling Final on that Sunday. It holds an interest in Antrim.

how come st endas play in south west competitions now, they used to be in south antrim when I was playing. Anyone know why this changed?
The club believed that the promotion of their players would be better served in the other two divisional areas.

Attention now will turn to appointment of new management for our hurlers. At various times there have been discussions faciltated by County for Club Chairmen, coaches or whoever to get buy in or thoughts on what we should be progressing . Would this not be a good time to have something similar? It could be run in a way that it is not a County Board bashing . If people didn't turn up at least opportunity was offered. Maybe those with a real interest in taling on job would also be present. Then the normal selection process could proceed.

When factoring in all requirements for the new Casement please allow people to go onto the field as at Semp.e Stadium. An hour after the second game on Saturday all ages of people were out there siaking up the atmosphere that is Thurles. And it has a special appeal to young ones .

Kevin Ryan worked with players that our club coaches in Antrim had worked with for years to bring them to a level to be considered to represent Antrim. Those players that Kevin Ryan worked with will be better players for the work that he has done. Each building on what each other does is a good way to operate or cooperate. So thank you Kevin Ryan for what you have done for our players, our clubs. Good luck and may you continue to improve others as players as you have done here in Antrim.
