The U21 game in Thurles was such that it will limit the keyboard detractors from doing what they know best. But it will not be a permanent cessation just tempoaray until they come back with a vengenance. Who was it that sang the song 'do what you do well '. They will be working on the agenda - the same one that they have flogged to death. The hurlers on the ditch of our age, our time with different technology but good character assinators. Well done to all those who graced the hallowed sod of Thurles yesterday - winners and losers. All winners for that hour on a big stage..and our day will come.

I would rather watch and feel for any Antrim team either strive to win or draw or to be on the wrong side of a bad result. The experience of wining or losing is only felt emotionally by having that connection. We are Antrim and have that connection through good days and bad days. Once you couldn't care whether they win or lose then you have lost something precious- to experience the joy and the sorrow - two sides of the same coin. Fair play to our U21s today they battled bravely and that is nota bad quality in any team or in any person?

Does the minor hurling leagues go into playoff rounds?

There are no play-offs in minor leagues this year. Top of the league is the winner.

Why is there such a long period between league games at this point of the year? Most people are back of their holidays and teams should nearing full tilt but suddenly there's a month's break between games? Is this the reason why so many teams stop putting any effort in at this stage of the year?

Championship games are fixed at this time of the year. Midweek games are coming to an end soon as we don't have an abundance of clubs with floodlight facilities.

A great display by the Under21s today. They put a bit of pride back into the jersey, despite all the talk of a hammering!

Not saying that CB volunteers don't know or haven't done the voluntary work but their role is now different. They (CB) need to acknowledge the positive work being done to grow positive relationships and connection with our leaders at County level. If management don't recognise what their workers do in any organisation it goes the wrong way? Players get recognition through postions in leagues, championships. Medals, cups, write ups , profiles etc - that is all healthy . The negativity about Antrim doesn't come from current players and you know probably better than me where it comes from..and it is not a recent thing. It is coming in spades from wherever when our County Chairman draws attention to changing the mindset - but how that is done needs to come from Management i.e CB?

I agree with your assertion that it is up to County Management to lead. Positivity and the promotion of what we do well.

Having gone through the season unbeaten.... You still have games to play and your not the only team to have done it. Do your research before blowing your trumpet lol.

Ok no more. I am sure the St Brigids supporter was just celebrating promotion.

A call to end negativity, criticise our negativity in Antrim might add to the downward spiral. The negativity is around where we stand relative to other counties. The positive - how often are we positive about what our volunteers do in year out - particularly within clubs. Good grass root work is ongoing but where and when do our County Board ever notice or do they care? Seems like a call to positive mindset is wishful thinking without the necessary work and people pulling together to make it work. The CB need to lead - that is their role as volunteers in the Antrim GAA. They need to compare what they do relative to other counties and in Antrim it is not all negative.

I would take exception to your idea that the County Board do not care or appreciate the work done by the club volunteer. The County Board is made up of volunteers who all come from volunteering in their own clubs and are very aware of what happens at club level.

congratulations to st brigids on their promotion back to div 1, having gone through the season unbeaten (the only team in div 1 & 2 to do so).

Antrim abu!

Does Kevin Ryan think that Wexford will believe that we have not been training? It's not in the nature of us GAA folk to take things at face value. Antrim abu!

Maybe most people would say the same as Kevin Ryan has if they reviewed the results of previous Antrim u21 s games at this level? Let us get our heads together when we get them out of the sand.

I would like to Congratulate Aghagallon winning the third division and for getting promoted back to division 2. Can we get the third division tables sorted so that we can see everyones totals??

The referee is taken to be right in all decisions unless it is televised and there is access to appeal systems?

There is access to appeal under Rule and a decision can be reversed without the use of TV
