Who's the county board for???

Absolutely terrible set up for the final of the county championship...watched the match with a few Tyrone gaels and all they could do was laugh..state of the pitch...the venue itself not even a catch net behind the goal

I think you may have slipped on the grass bank and banged your head!. If you were even at the game. Our county doesn't need your negativity.

I would like to commend the county PRO for his innovative and excellent periscope coverage of the Opening of Dunsilly today. It was encouraging to see so many talented young gaels from many clubs participating enthusiastically in Go games . It is our youth who are our future and they will benefit from these excellent facilities and encouraging to see them so positively promoted. Well done to all concerned today.

It was great to see future Antrim stars play at Dunsilly.

I am asking a question cause I can't seem to get an answer anywhere else for these 2 questions, can I have a copy via this forum of the counties have years development plan- if we have one- if not what's the point??. Secondly with Dunsilly now in use does it have floodlights??? If not what's the point it is meant to be a county training facility nd the county teams train mainly in the winter months with dark nights??? Can you provide some direction on this please as I am in the dark - literally- about both issues. Thank you

You may be asking the wrong people. Ask your club delegates. You probably know Dunsilly doesn't have lights. It would be great to have you on board to fundraise for floodlights.

Reply to South west gael

I really have to laugh at the gumption of the south west Gael to suggest the city clubs could be doing more to improve facilities. In case you haven't noticed the majority of city clubs are seriously impinged by planning restrictions, perhaps the catastrophe that is casement park highlights this, something which most country clubs won't have an issue with I imagine. What's more we do have three facilities in the city; Sally gardens in pole glass, woodlands & the DUB but if the south west money machine can make a few quid out of it sure it's alright.

In reply to helping hand you are spot on with your remarks regarding club facilities in Belfast. This was evident last week when two city clubs had to come to Ahogill as there where no flood lit pitches in the whole of Belfast. That is an alarming statistic on its own. Portglenone Casements are the latest south west club to have put a big push into promoting their own premises & the success is there for all to see. Unfortunately there is no quick fix for the city clubs, it boils down to real hard work & a genuine passion for your club.........

I am seeking some logic please from the head of the CCCC why do Sy Galss have to play an U21 championship on Saturday and then some players expected to play Sunday's senior championship final while carbons u21 game is set for the week after??? Very very strange

St Galls agreed this with CCCC

Having been around few of the Belfast club grounds this year is there anyway they could benefit from advice from the north or south west Antrim clubs on guidance on how to upgrade their facilities. The standard is so much better and their fund raising systems are in place so imparting this knowledge would be beneficial. For the biggest city in Ulster the grounds don't match this.
