I would like to congratulate Philip Christie on the hard work work he has done over the years in his fight to get Rates Exemption to all GAA clubs without licenced bars. He has lobbied for years on this matter and after getting support from Daithi Mc Kay, a meeting was held with Finance Minister Martin O Muilleoir who has got the bill passed at stormont. This will financially benefit the majority of clubs in our county so well done Philip!!!

St. Brigid's GAC Scór na nÓg participants met last night for a dress rehearsal before the Antrim finals in Moneyglass November 6th. We are all really excited to enter Scór na nÓg for the first time, making history for the club. This is what the GAA is all about, everyone volunteering their time to build a sense of community for players and non-players. Well done to all the young participants, families and the Scór committee and of course Bronagh for all the hard work behind the scenes and organising the event.

In all my years involved in gaa in antrim ive have never been prouder of county board and may i single out one person the pro he has been fantastic with all the outlets at his disposal videos twitter feeds all amazing of championships great to watch all the finals long may it continue i dont think any other county puts so much into coverage as antrim very proud who needs bbc/utv

2,700 Attendance at Antrim County football final, even larger crowds at other county finals, yet again lack of quality coverage by BBC and UTV nothing short of racism. Every Saturday during local soccer season we get nearly three hours of coverage on Radio Ulster , then TV highlights, showing every sport from Soccer , Hockey to tiddly winks, if lucky they throw in a 20 second slot for about GAA. Thank God that the internet and all the hard work carried out by club and county PRO's is slowly starting to loosen the grip of the anti Irish Culture media.

The focal points of our games is and should be those who play them; prepare them ; make provision for them and so on. The opening of Dunsilly without our young players would have been an event without the vitality. Yes players and the obvious level of partcipation augurs well for our future. People day in day out travel to work. They clock up thousands of miles in journeys. They get held up in traffic jams. And what a contrast if they are in a queue for 10 mins to get a parking space for a game whether in the City or in the Country? They go almost beserk- lambasting everyone including County Board. Some console themselves and justify staying away from games. So sad when we think of the sacrifice so many made to hold on to our games and to provide the best facilties for sport we ever have had in the history of our County and our Country. A little touch of positive reality might not go amiss?

It was great to see the hand over from Casement Social on Sunday at halftime £25000 is a big help, bridges built strengthens our county for the future. Congrats to the Jonnies as the pitch was excellent considering the rainfall earlier in the day. Let’s put the negativity to bed once and for all We owe it to the men & women who went before us to secure and improve Antrim’s future . is féidir linn
