U14 Hurling Development Squad Trial

2017 U14 Hurling Development Squad All County Trial 3 is Sunday 11th December. 

Trial 3 for the 2017 U14 Hurling Development Squad will take place this Sunday, 11th of December from 11am until 1pm at the Antrim GAA Centre of Excellence in Dunsilly. All nominated players are asked me be in Dunsilly for registration at 10:45am.

To date trials have been held regionally. Two trials have been held in South Antrim and two in North and South West Antrim. 

During these trial dates players have undergone fitness and skills assessments and feedback will be provided to players, parents and club coaches to assist with the each player’s individual development in the coming season.
Trial 3 will be carried out on an all-county basis with players from all three regions teaming together and playing competitive games.

Antrim GAA Coaching and Games Development Department is delighted to announce the coaching teams for both regions for 2017.

South Antrim will be known as ‘Casement’ and the coaching team is made up of the following –

Paul Donnelly, St Paul’s - Head Coach
Kieran Killyleagh, St Paul’s – Assistant Coach
Mark Carey, St Paul’s – Assistant / Fitness Coach
Karl Stewart, St Gall’s – Assistant Coach
Paddy Trainor, Rossa – Assistant Coach

North & South West Antrim will be known as ‘Slemish’ and the coaching team is made up of the following –

Declan Heggarty, Ballycastle – Head Coach
Conor Cunning, Dunloy – Assistant Coach

These coaching teams have a vast amount of playing and coaching experience at club and inter-county level. With their experience, enthusiasm and love of their county we are sure that 2017 will be a fantastic year of development for all players involved.
