Odhrán McKenna and Unbeaten Antrim
4th April 2016
It was fantastic to see Odhrán and CJ McKenna watch Antrim maintain their unbeaten run. Odhrán has been in the prayers of the GAA family and they have been answered. Well done Odhrán!
A late Tomás McCann point ensured a share of the spoils for Antrim, as they claimed a 0-12 to 1-09 draw with Louth at Corrigan Park.
Promotion to Division 2 was already secured for both teams ahead of the game.
Louth raced into a 3 points to 1 point lead before Antrim hit back with points from Bam Neeson and Michael McCann. The sides were level at the interval 0-05 points each.
Antrim hit five unanswered scores in the second half, to move 0-11 to 0-06 ahead 19 minutes into the second half.
Antrim lost Neeson on a black card with 20 minutes remaining and Louth worked hard to close the gap to 2 points before scoring a goal on the 35th minute.
A Tomas McCann pointed free levelled the game. It will be all to play for on 23rd April at Croke Park.
Congratulations to the management and team on providing the supporters with some quality memories from the 2016 Allianz League season. There is plenty more to come!
So lets get out and support the saffrons !
