Antrim Health & Wellbeing Club Officer Training

The County Antrim Health and Wellbeing Committee are launching club officer training which will begin in April 2016. The aim of this training is to address the roles & responsibilities of the Club Health and Wellbeing Officer and advise on how this role should be carried within our clubs.

The importance of this role within the GAA club can not be emphasised enough and therefore this training will seek to advise all those who participate in club administration and governance of the way forward in addressing this important part of our educative role with our clubs and wider community. For this reason, this training is open to Club Health & Wellbeing Officers, Chairpersons, Secretaries and any other interested persons from within your club / or a local community partner - as this role will have implications for their involvement as work in this area develops within our clubs.

Training dates and venues are detailed below and have been designed to facilitate clubs in their divisional board areas - although participants can attend any venue of their choice. I would ask that you discuss this with your Club Executive and contact our committee secretary Frances O’Neill (frances.oneill@virgin.netor 07756224189 ) to advise of your choice of date for this mandatory training programme at the earliest opportunity and also indicate who from your club will be attending.

Please note - this officer training will become a mandatory element of the Club Maith process and it is therefore important that clubs who are engaging in this process attend.
