Antrim GAA calls on Members to take part in Belfast Pride Parade 2022 – Bígí linn!

Antrim GAA will be officially taking part in the Belfast Pride Parade 2022.

Wear you club colours and walk behind the Saffron Banner.

Please email Sean Kelly ulstercouncildelegate2.antrim@gaa.ie to confirm if your club wishes to walk with the Saffrons and take part in the event.

All those members and friends of Antrim GAA who take part in the parade along with Antrim GAA will be asked to assemble at the entrance of Quarter Chartered Accountants, Writers Square for 12:30 pm and walk behind the Saffron Banner. Please confirm your attendance via above email.

Belfast Pride is the biggest event of the year for LGBT+ people of Belfast and were last on the streets in 2019 but we’re finally back for 2022 and we hope to have the biggest parade since founded back in 1991.

Here is everything you need to know about taking part in the parade

In 2019, over 60,000 people attend and this year they hope to break that record to celebrate their 30th Pride parade. We want to bring our GAA community and our city together again to celebrate LGBT+ lives and continue to protest for full equality.

When: Saturday, July 30th at 1.00 pm with the parade build up starting for Antrim GAA members and friends at 12.30pm at Quarter Accountants in Writers Square.

The Parade : The Belfast Pride Parade is the biggest cross community parade in Belfast and the single biggest parade in the city, the main event in the LGBT+ calendar and the one of the key events in Belfast Pride festival. It is a protest and a celebration, a call for equality, a stand for solidarity and a celebration of the lives of LGBT+ people in Belfast.
