A day of celebration for Patrick Pearses and Ardoyne Kickhams
17th October 2016
On Saturday 22nd October, a day of celebration will be held on the new 3G pitch at the Cricky. The day is being organised by Cairde Bheann Mhadagáin with assistance from the two local GAA clubs, Patrick Pearses and Ardoyne Kickhams and has been funded by Belfast City Council. The purpose of the day’s events to offer Go Games blitzes for the local schools in the community with a family fun day taking place later in the day on the site of the adjoining school, Bunscoil Bheann Mhadagáin.
All children participating in the Go Games will be coached by mentors from the two local clubs and the onus will be enjoyment rather than any competitive games. Understandably some children will have more experience than others if they are already involved with a local club and the mentors will endeavour than all teams are mixed to ensure a level playing field and hopefully ensure that it is a great experience all round. Light refreshment will also be available for all children as the fun day element takes over later in the afternoon.
