'Where is Armoy' is what many children who hurl may be asking this week? There is something big happening in Armoy this Saturday! By 10 am - 300 primary school children will have arrived to hurl at the Glen Rovers pitches on the Glenshesk Road.
Joe Cassidy takes up the story: "We have teams from Down, Tyrone, Derry, Belfast and of course North Antrim. This invitational tournament is for primary school children from P1 to P4".
The organising group within the Naomh Padraig club are excited about running this tournament.
The plan is to make it a memorable occasion for the children; parents and coaches. This weekend is a really big sporting occasion and for the young ones playing in Armoy - well it too will be a taste and an experience of what 'a great day' is!
They will remember it for years - it is important to each and everyone of them! If you are a follower of GAA and are around North Antrim this Saturday - sure drop in at the Glen Rovers Club and savour the delight of our young players of today and our tomorrows!
That is Saturday morning 26th August- in Armoy.
