The Saffrons were bidding to reach the Ulster decider for the first time since 1970, and but for Anthony Tohill they would have pulled it off. Brady's second goal three minutes from time levelled the scores, before the Swatragh man saved Derry's blushes when he rose to catch a last gasp Shenny McQuillan 55-metre free which was about to go over the crossbar. The game finished Antrim 2-8 Derry 0-14,
