Ulster GAA Writers Award
30th January 2017
On Friday 27th January 2017 I attended the prestigious Ulster GAA Writers Award hosted in the Four Seasons Hotel, Monaghan.
I'd like to say a huge congratulations and thank you to everyone involved with the event who made it such a successful and enjoyable evening.
Speaking of success... I was hugely honoured to win The Ulster GAA Writers Award for Communication. The last time an Antrim man won this award was ten years ago exactly when Terry Cormican won the very same award in 2007.
I'm extremely proud to have won the award and to share the same accolade as Terry; however, this award would not be possible without the support, leadership, commitment and initiatives from the clubs.
Speaking of initiatives I'd like to take a moment to highlight the huge success of the Saffron Aid initiative in December which raised over 500 shoeboxes filled with toys and essentials for deprived child over the festive period. There is no doubt this generosity really did make a difference to those children.
If anyone would like to assist with the social media promotion of Antrim GAA, in particular the graphic design aspect, please email me on pro.antrim@gaa.ie
I have great ideas for 2017 so email me if you want to be part of it!
