Volunteer Names- Margaret Armstrong / Margaret Flynn
What is their role at the club?
Juvenile Coaches / Committee Members
How long have they been doing the role for?
25 years +
What do they enjoy most about volunteering at the club?
Seeing our young Camogs learn and grow, developing not only their camogie skills but also their personalities, team spirit and friendships. All this while having fun and belonging to a great club
What is their most memorable moment or successful achievement at the club?
Most memorable moment is seeing girls we trained from Under 10 winning the All Ireland Senior Camogie Championship in 2008. What a privilege to be part of this great squad of players and management team.
Also coaching a great Rossa Feile team winning All Ireland glory. Many of this team went on to be senior champions and are still either playing or very involved with the Rossa Camogs.
Is there anything they think the GAA need to improve to help the clubs and their volunteers?
I would like to see more investment put into improving facilities and development of young players in the Belfast and wider area. Additional resources for equipment and training aids. There is a lot of untapped talent in the South Antrim region.
