Antrim Masters Football

The small panel tried their best ..... antrim masters travelled back to a sunny st mellons park monaghan to play an amalgamated leitrim/longford team whose small fast forward line proved a thorn in antrims side over the 60 mins. 16 antrim men tried their best but with 3 lads carrying injuries for 60 mins coach seanie mcgreevy had to be tough on them to keep 15 men on the pitch at all times.
By half time antrim trailed leit/long by 4 points 0-7 to 0-3 but could have been much closer if not ahead had we taken our scores earlier. in goals for antrim and on his debut ricardo 'richard' mcgreevy gave a good performance but could do nothing about the point scoring machine of the oppositions small fast forward line. final score 0-16 for the opposition to 2-06 antrim masters. these were a 2 valuable points at the round 4 stage that could be have been antrims but for a bigger panel. if you or someone you know should be playing masters then please get in touch through the facebook message facility. good luck aointrom seniors against kildare this saturday in corrigan ... if you want it lads then its yours.
