It is with a huge sense of appreciation and respect that Antrim GAA announces the departure of Darren Gleeson from his role as Senior Hurling Manager.

During his tenure, Darren has made hugely significant contributions to Antrim hurling.

Under his leadership the team achieved remarkable milestones, including:

  • promotion from Division 2A to Division 1 in 2020, and retaining that status since;
  • winning the Joe McDonagh Cup in 2020 and 2022;
  • competing in the Leinster Championship in 2023 and 2024.

Antrim GAA Chairperson Séamus McMullan acknowledged Darren's contribution. "We express our sincere gratitude to Darren for his unwavering dedication, passion, and hard work. His commitment has not only brought success on the field but also inspired a renewed sense of pride and optimism within Antrim GAA and its hurling community in particular.

Darren's tenure has marked a transformative period for Antrim hurling and we are deeply thankful to him and his management team for the new levels of excellence they have instilled in our players and our entire organisation.

We wish Darren and his family all the best in the future and look forward to building on the solid foundation he has laid for Antrim hurling."

Go raibh maith agat, Darren.

Antrim GAA will now commence the process to appoint a new manager.
