1 Minute with.................

Name: Caoimhe McAleenan

Club: Brídíní Óga Glenravel

Position: wing half forward

Favourite Pitch played on: Fr Maginn Park

If you could invite 3 people to dinner - Alive or dead. Who would you invite? I'd invite my aunt Marie, Usain Bolt and my sisters to make the food for me.

Best Player you have played with: I've always been the oldest in our club so I've been looking up to all of our younger players coming through over the years but Laoise McKenna, Ellen Hynds, Kirsty Laverty and Torie Edgar have helped us reach a new level.

Best Player you have played against: Caitrin Dobbin has destroyed us on a few occasions.

Best game you have been involved in: Winning the junior championship in 2016

Best game you have ever seen: Cork V Clare drawn All Ireland Final in 2013

Best trainer within the squad: Lauren Edgar never misses and provides plenty of craic while she's there too.

Worst training drill: Anything without a sliotar.

Favourite Song: Coldplay Viva la Vida.

Favourite Film: The Sound of Music

Favourite Holiday Destination: Vilamoura was beautiful.

Best advice ever received: Win your own ball.

Biggest influence on club career: My parents for taking me here, there and everywhere and for the unwelcomed 'advice' after a poor game.

Club Volunteer of note: Daddy. Think he must have coached every player in our club at some point.

Biggest Strength in your game: Striking

Which club would you like to see do well apart from your own: I suppose I would have to say Tír na nÓg Randalstown.

Young Player within your club to look out for: We are fortunate that we have alot of talent coming through and I'm looking forward to playing with many of our current un16 squad next year. Look out for Aimee Traynor, Shauna McDonnell, Niamh McKay, Niamh Donnelly, Bronagh Laverty and Maeve Mulholland.

Best thing about the GAA: Being able to spend every night of the week at the pitch, whether it be playing, coaching or supporting.

In 10 years time your club will: Hopefully be very competitive in Div1 and pushing for a Senior championship win. I also hope that we are still as successful at underage as we are today.
