SCÓR 2016

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Calling all talented musicians, dancers, singers , actors and actresses and quizzers!!! Would you like to own a GAA county, Ulster and All Ireland medal?! Here's your chance!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am urging all clubs to try and find someone or a group of people in your club who could dance, sing or act in any of the competitions that scór offers. The categories are as follows:

Ceili Dancing (a group of dancers, no less than 4 and no more than 8 dancing a traditional team dance)
Solo Singing (in either English or Irish and must be about Ireland or its history, people or culture)
Recitation/storytelling (recitations, monologues, poems and stories relating to Ireland, it's history, folklore, people or places , no longer that 6 minutes )
Instrumental music (groups of at least 2 and no more than 5)
Léiriú Stáitse/stage presentation (a dramatic presentation with a theme based on Ireland, it's culture, life or folklore. No less than 3 and no more than 8 people should take part. Ten mins is the time limit, including setting up and removal of props)
Ballad group ( ballads must be about the history of Ireland , it's people, places and folklore or history. Groups must sing 2 contrasting ballads, the contrast to be in tempo. Groups must comprise of at least 3 and no more than 5 singers with a maximum of 3 instruments per song )
Set dancing ( each group should consist of at least 4 and no more than 8. Groups may dance 2 parts of a traditional set )

Table Quiz

This will be a separate event. County champions go straight to All Ireland competition and the top 3 teams will be awarded medals, gold, silver and bronze. Teams should consist of 4 team members.

Any club wishing to take part in scór please contact Bronagh Lennon , County Cultural Officer, before 17th January. Competitors must be 17 or over to be able take part in senior scór. For a Scór rule book, drop me an email and I will post one out to your club Cultural Officer. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions.

County Antrim Final will take place on Sunday 24th January at 5pm. Venue TBC this week.
