Scór season is fast approaching.

I am hoping that we will have a few more clubs than last year entering. It really is a fantastic opportunity for your club to get involved in another aspect of the GAA.  Participation more than doubled last year and I can't thank the clubs and cultural officers enough for driving scór in your communities. The County final last year was a huge success and I'm hoping this year will be no different. Last year Antrim had 4 acts in the Ulster final in Scór na nÓg (Mary Kate Bonnes, Tír na nÓg in recitation, St Mary's Aghagallon in Ballad Group and Ceili Dancing and St Ergnat's, Moneyglass in Instrumental Music) which was just fantastic!

Entries from clubs for Scór na nÓg should be emailed to me on or before 10th October 2017, so that I can decide if we need to run a semi final or if a final will be sufficient .  Please include your club name in English and Irish if possible , the names of children entering, dates of birth (all children must be U17 on 1January 2018) and the competition that they wish to enter beside the name . I will translate all names to Irish for the programme once I have received all entries .

Thank you all very much for your efforts and if you need any information, send me an email on bronaghcultural@outlook.com

Buíochas ó chroí as ucht bhur gcomhoibriú,

Bronagh Lennon
Cultural Officer
