Our very own  Saul McCaughan has been nominated for the U21 Bord Gais Energy Team of the Year!!!!!!!

All-Ireland under-21 champions Waterford unsurprisingly dominate the nominations for the Bord Gáis Energy Team of the Year.

The Déise lead the way with 12 nominees for the side, while they also provide all three of the candidates for the Player of the Year award.

Senior stars Austin Gleeson, Patrick Curran and Stephen Bennett are the three men who will be in contention for the honour.

Waterford scored five goals - including two from Bennett and one from Curran - as they blew Galway away in the decider in Semple Stadium earlier this month.

Leinster champions Dublin have nine nominees for the team, while the Tribesmen and Munster finalists Tipperary provide five each.

There are three nominees apiece from Westmeath, Limerick and Offaly, two from Clare and one each from Cork, Wexford and Antrim.

The team will be announced on Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 October.
