Play at Croke Park

26th July 2016

Share:
It's this time of year again to get an opportunity to play in Croke Park in an event organised specifically for U12 Club teams.  On Tuesday, 16th August Antrim Clubs have been allocated an hour and a half to participate in U12 Go Games Blitzes for both hurling and football on Croke Park’s pitch.  To avail of this fantastic opportunity please read the guidelines below and how to enter:

Guidelines:  11-a-side blitz with teams guaranteed 2 or more matches.  A maximum squad of 11 players.  There will be STRICTLY no subs.  Only 11 players and two mentors will be allowed on the pitch.  If on any occasion you take more than 11 players, the players will be asked to leave the pitch and asked not to return.  Do you really want that experience for the child? ·         Clubs can enter one football team and one hurling team (each team has to have unique players i.e. one child is not allowed to play in both the football and hurling blitzes).  If your club has more than one team, please indicate how many.  If I don’t have enough entries i.e. 24 teams, we will contact you to invite a second team. ·

There will be 12 football teams and 12 hurling teams participating.  If I get more than 24 entries, clubs who have not participated recently and abided by the rules will get first call. ·
NB – Clubs are responsible for providing transport to and from Croke Park, food & water and the behaviour of the players on the day. ·
Parents/Spectators are also invited to come and support their club/child.  ·

Teams are to report to Croke Park for registration at 10.45am.  The blitz will run from 11.15am to 12.45pm and there may be a stadium tour. Details not confirmed yet.  But if this is the case the tour are for players and mentors only
Parents/Spectators unfortunately will have to organise a separate tour, this is due to the high number of players/mentors on the tour already.   How to Enter – please complete the following and return to ciara.ferry.gamesmanager.antrim@gaa.ie by Friday, 5th of August 2016. ·
