Glenavy Festival Week

The wait is over folks - it is Glenavy Festival Week with the Marquee already going up this morning and things kicking off tomorrow night it is sure to be another memorable weekend. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter pages for more information over the course of the Bank Holiday Weekend but just in case you have forgot, here is the full run down of what is on over the weekend:

 

Thursday 27th April

Bingo 7.30pm in The Marquee - fun for all the family to kick things off with cash prizes on offer for each line and house as well as the Scoop bonus game. 

Texas Hold'Em Poker - First hand 9.30pm sharp start after the bingo. 

The Bar will be open in the Marquee for this event. 

Friday 28th April

Casino Night - Black & Bling - Doors open at 7.30pm 

The Marquee will be transformed into our very own mini Las Vegas on Friday night with an opportunity for all the Ladies and Gents to dress up and take part in a range of Casino games with some excellent prizes on offer on the night: 

1st Prize is a 50" Full HD LED TV

2nd Prize is £200 Voucher for Galgorm Spa & Resort

3rd Prize is a Kindle Fire HD Tablet

After the fun of the Casino Night, DJ Jazzy Joe will be keeping us all entertained in to the small hours!

Even if you have never played any of the games before, come along and enjoy what is sure to be a great nights craic. There will be a free glass of bubbly for every lady as they arrive so make sure to arrive early! 

Friday evening will be an Over 18s only night. 

Saturday 29th April

Mark Ruddy Memorial 7s Tournament - now in to its 5th year this competition has become a steady fixture of our Festival Weekend. Registration takes place in the Marquee between 11.30am and 12 Midday. Absolutely everyone is welcome to play, participation is our main aim with the 7s and a great days fun is always guaranteed! 

The Big Glenavy Family Quiz - 8pm in The Marquee: Join us on Saturday evening with another event for all of the family when we host the Big Glenavy Quiz. Children are welcome to attend this event with adult supervision. 

The Bar will be open in the Marquee for both of these events

Sunday 30th April 

The Big Breakfast: 10am - 1pm in St Clare's Hall: Let us do the cooking on Sunday morning and call in to St Clare's Hall for the return of our famous Big Breakfast! St Clare's will be open from 10am through to after 1pm so come along and enjoy Breakfast and set yourself up for the day! 

Prince and Princesses Party - 3.30pm in The Marquee. Bring the children and come along to meet all of their favourite Disney Princes and Princesses - there will be a chance to have photos taken with all of their favourites! 

Jigs and Reels followed by The Hootin' Annies: Doors open at 7pm with the first dance taking place at 8pm sharp! Our local couples have been practising like mad for the past 10 weeks to perfect their dance moves. A very large crowd is anticipated on Sunday evening so please arrive early if you wish to secure a table in the marquee. After the competition, The Hootin' Annies will be taking to the stage and giving the rest of us an opportunity to show our dance moves in to the small hours! A great night to be had for all - children are welcome in the Marquee on Sunday night provided they are supervised by an adult and leave once the Jigs and Reels competition has finished. 

There is something for absolutely everyone at our Festival Weekend - please come along and show your support for YOUR CLUB and make it a weekend to remember!
